Translate ambiguity into prioritised action.

Bismita brings the rare combination of product discipline and consulting range: she can frame the opportunity, uncover the user and operational insight, create the roadmap and backlog, and align the people who make delivery real.

Her work is grounded in measurable outcomes from adoption and reporting quality to delivery efficiency, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder readiness.

Her MBA dissertation, SheHive, also demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset: turning a structural user problem into a viable, fundable product and measurable venture plan.

AXA SME Insurance
Go-to-Market Strategy

Developed a digital-first, dual-pronged proposal to grow AXA’s SME business-insurance market in an environment where 95% of transactions are online: simplify conversion for tradespeople already seeking cover, while building awareness and demand among underserved niche SMEs.

Audience challenge
Tradespeople wanted cover but perceived AXA as complex and pricier than rivals. Craft businesses and freelancers often did not recognise their insurance need — a gap affecting 51% of small-business owners.
Diagnosis & strategy
Segmented both audiences, completed a 4Ps analysis and benchmarked Hiscox and Rhino. Built tailored bundles, a risk-assessment tool and tiered pricing with discounts.
Go-to-market
Recommended localised landing pages and Etsy / Shopify partnerships; PPC, SEO and trade-body partnerships for tradespeople; educational content, influencers and referrals for niche SMEs.
Five-year roadmap
Foundation (0–6 months), partnerships (6–12), localisation and referrals (12–18), loyalty and analytics (18–36), then leadership and expansion (36–60).
Success measures
Retention, customer satisfaction, engagement, segment-level conversion, PPC return on investment and niche traffic.
Proposal impact
No measured results: this was a live-client proposal. It provides a roadmap to lift tradespeople conversion and open an untapped niche-SME segment through education and community.

From product intent
to measurable change.

Product management operating model

How an idea becomes a product,
people can choose and use.

Bismita works across commercial product strategy, proposition, service design, delivery and adoption — not as separate stages, but as one connected value system.

01

Commercial strategy & proposition

Shapes commercial product strategy, clarifies the customer value proposition, and connects market opportunity to a practical service strategy.

02

Outcomes, priorities & roadmaps

Defines the outcome that matters, translates it into prioritised product goals, and guides roadmap, backlog, release and adoption decisions.

03

Stakeholder advice & alignment

Guides business, technology and senior stakeholders through choices, trade-offs and delivery dependencies so teams can move with shared intent.

04

Product design & service thinking

Designs product and service concepts around a defined company problem — moving from customer need to a credible proposition, experience and delivery path.

05

Market & demographic insight

Uses user research, segmentation and demographic context — with particular experience of UK and India market contexts — to ground product choices in evidence.

06

Decision architecture

Creates a clear decision narrative, combining commercial logic, user value, delivery feasibility and measurable KPIs rather than relying on opinion alone.

01

Frame the problem with the 5'Ws

Who is affected? What is happening? When and where does it occur? Why does it matter? This creates a shared, structured starting point before teams jump to solutions.

02

Align effort with a North Star

Set a single North Star Metric that reflects the company’s core customer value, then support it with input KPIs. It keeps product, commercial and delivery efforts pointed toward the same outcome.

Product thinking in practice

From case
to decision.

01
Problem solving

Break down ambiguous business questions with issue trees, hypotheses and a clear method before selecting a solution.

02
Guesstimates & sizing

Use structured assumptions, market sizing and commercial logic to quantify an opportunity when complete data is not yet available.

03
Product critique & design

Evaluate a favourite product or design a product for a company by connecting user need, proposition, journey and feasibility.

04
Success metrics

Answer “how will this product succeed?” with a North Star, leading and lagging KPIs, measurement cadence and decision thresholds.

End-to-end product management

Vision guides the future.
Strategy guides the path.

Product management extends beyond a launch. It joins long-term purpose, discovery, execution, adoption, measurement and the next decision.

01

Vision

Set the long-term purpose, intended future, customer promise, function and time horizon.

02

Discovery

Frame the problem, research users and markets, test assumptions and define the opportunity.

03

Development

Turn the proposition into prioritised requirements, acceptance criteria, designs and a delivery plan.

04

Launch

Coordinate release, enablement, service readiness, communications and early measurement.

05

Growth & maturity

Improve adoption, experience and performance using KPIs, feedback and commercial insight.

06

Renew or retire

Manage decline, decide what to sustain or sunset, and use learning to shape the next product future.

Feature management & product craft

Choose the right feature.
Make the decision visible.

Feature work turns strategy into a sequence of customer and business choices — from concept generation through launch and continuous optimisation.

01

Ideation

Generate concepts from customer research, surveys, interviews, market signals and product opportunities.

02

Design

Turn the problem into a testable experience using prototypes, wireframes, flows and collaboration with delivery teams.

03

Development

Document stories, specifications and acceptance criteria; manage dependencies and delivery readiness.

04

Launch

Coordinate release, communications, operational readiness, measurement and early customer feedback.

05

Optimisation

Use adoption, satisfaction, performance and commercial data to improve the feature and decide what happens next.

Prioritisation lens

Customer value × business impact × feasibility

Prioritise a feature with an explicit decision model rather than instinct. Bismita uses the method that best matches the decision, evidence and maturity of the product.

Feature lenses

Core • Secondary • Differentiating • UI / UX • Technical backend • Innovation • Business-focused • Customer-focused

01

Identify value

Use user research, competitive analysis and data-driven analysis to identify the most valuable problem. Quantitative and qualitative evidence reveal patterns, trends, feedback categories and segment-specific needs.

02

Document the feature

Translate the voice of customer into user stories in Jira or Trello, technical specifications and wireframes. Make the problem, intended outcome and acceptance criteria legible to everyone involved.

03

Develop new products

Apply NPD: idea generation, screening, concept development and testing, market strategy and business analysis, development, market testing and launch — mitigating risk while improving customer-centric efficiency and innovation.

04

Design, collaborate & measure

Prototyping and design: Figma, Adobe, Sketch, Photoshop and Canva. Collaboration: Trello, Slack and Miro. Analytics: Mixpanel and Hotjar. Commercial analysis: business cases and financial modelling.

Strengthen adoption.
Increase customer value.

University of Glasgow MBA graduate seeking Product Management and Management Consulting opportunities across B2B SaaS, technology, go-to-market, energy, finance and defence.

01

Enterprise product systems

Connect product discovery, roadmap priorities and adoption metrics as enterprise workflow platforms add analytics and automation. The goal is not simply delivery — it is measurable, sustained use.

02

Decision-making under uncertainty

Bring 6+ years across product management, technology delivery and B2B SaaS, with exposure to FMCG, defence and energy in the UK and India. Use user research, market analysis and quantitative business cases to guide choices.

03

Adoption is part of the product

Especially suited to teams that treat adoption as a product responsibility rather than a handover after delivery — aligning stakeholder readiness, onboarding, measurement and customer value from the start.
